Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2015
Le Revue du Vin de France awards us a star!
With their highly coloured labelling, it is difficult to miss the wines from this beautiful estate which has firmly established itself, under the leardership of Philippe Zinck, within the category of the region's reliable values. Certified organic since the 2011 vintage, the estate continues to strive for excellence in the vineyard and in the cellar, and following our latest tasting of the range, we can now award it its first star. The Terroir range is very well defined and luxurious, with wines full of sparkle, such as the loveky Riesling (Riesling terroir 2012: 15/20) or the balanced Pinot Gris that will be a hit at the table (Pinot Gris Terroir 2012: 15/20). As a Grand Cru, the expression of the terroirs is achieved very skillfully, as with the Riesling Goldert (Riesling Goldert 2011: 16/20) with citrus aromas and a clean finish or the Pfersigberg taut and fine (Riesling Pfersigberg 2011: 15.5/20). In the Gewurztraminer, the potency of the Rangen is impressive and the wine expresses a superb palette which ends on fine hints of white pepper (Gewurztraminer Rangen 2009: 16.5/20). Were also rated:Sylvaner terroir: 14.5/20Muscat Terroir 2012: 14.5/20Gewuztraminer Grand Cru Eichberg 2011: 14.5/20
Guide Vins Gault&Millau 2015
Gault&Millau pushed the estate up a notch on their rating scale: 2/7! Riesling Grand Cru Pfersigberg 2011 - Favourite - 16.5/20 It is THE gem of the range and definitively the wine to taste at the estate. The Pfersigberg transcends the Riesling here to offer it a vigour, a fullness and a long calky mineral extension. A perfectly mastered vintage and a great success. Riesling Grand Cru Goldert 2011 - 15.5/20This Riesling Goldert plays on the bitterness to balance its concentrated, well-structured and mellow body. Enjoy fleeting hints of candied grapefruit, citron and bitter orange. An ideal wine with a centre cut salmon fillet with candied kumquat. Riesling Terroir 2012Such progress has been made at the Zinck estate after only a few vintages. This Riesling terroir stes the bar high in the range and precisely evokes touches of russet apple and citronella. Clean and taut in the mouth, lengthens ostentatiously an hints of verbena. Gewuztraminer Grand Cru Eichberg 2011 - 15/20Tinged with warm spices and hints of pears and ginger, this Gewurztraminer finds its finesse in the minreal sandstons induced by the Grand Cru Eichberg. The taste buds delight in a sweet finish on syrup pear and old rose.
Le Guide Hachette 2015
In 1997, Philippe Zinck, joined by Pascale, took over the vineyard founded in 1964 by his father Paul, around the old medieval town of Eguisheim. Having expanded it (20ha, with parcels in four Grands Crus), he started exporting. Supervised control preceded the gradual conversion to organic, undertaken in 2011. Muscat Terroir 2012 - rated * very successful wine This 2012 stems from an equal blend of Muscat Ottonel and Muscat d'Alsace, derived from clay-limestone soils. reflecting its terroir, it releases exuberant aromas of yellow flowers and vine blossom. These floral hints and this intensity are found in a particularly dense and powerful palate. Gewuztraminer Terroir 2012 - rated a successful wine A discreet but delicat and distinctive nose of white flower, rose and fresh yellow fruits. In the mouth, faithful to the impressions gathered by the nose, offers a long fresh finish. Without being excessively complex, this Gewurztraminer is pelasant and characteristic.

Philippe Zinck with his wife Pascale, manage the estate founded by his father in 1964. While three cultivatings methods are applied today on the 20 hectares (sustainable, organic and biodynamic), it all is gradually moving towards organic cultivation. Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rangen 2012 - Favourite - 16/20 Virtually a late harvest, in the mouth offers a very pure fruity pineapple with tightness. However the current sugar content prevents you from appreciating it at the table.
Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2014
(...) Sparkling wines are very recommandable here (Crémant Brut: 14.5/20; Crémant Brut Rosé: 14.5/20). Apart from the beautiful sparkling wines, we can start with the Muscat Terroir 2011: 14.5/20, aromatic but fresh. The Pinot Blanc Terroir 2011:14/20 seems fine and voluminous, without being heavy. The two Riesling Grands Crus are respectively: the Goldert 15.5/20 minerally and lemony, the Eichberg 2010: 16/20 more full bodied, but very complete. Worked like a Vendange tardive, the Pinot Gris Rangen: 16/20 deploys a beautiful candied fullness and length. Also scored were:Gewuztraminer Grand Cru Eichberg 2010: 15/20Pinot Gris Terroir 2011: 14/20
Le Guide Hachette 2014
Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Eichberg 2012 rated ** Remarkable wine (...) This Eichberg Gewuztraminer is "typical of marl-calcareous soils", wrote one judge. Well spotted, since this Eguisheim Grand Cru possesses these type of soils, and this 2010 with its bright straw yellow colour offers exactly this profile. It opens on intense and complex aromas, where flowers (jasmine, orange blossom, rose) combine with ripe fruit, fig and spices. Just as intense, the palate is straight-forward, rich, full and fat, with sugars already melted. The long finish is marked bu delicate notes of liquorice and pepper. This bottle can be laid down at least five years. Goes well with praws in cocnut curry risotto.
Le Guide Revel 2013 des Champagnes et autres Bulles
Guénaël RevelCrémant Brut: 15/20With a discreet nose, he wine first recalls baked apples and candied citrus. It becomes more confectionary after breathing and several minutes in the glass. The effervescence is normal, with tiny bubbles creating a velvety volume in the mouth that recedes in the finish, leaving just a touch of grapefruit. Perfect as an aperitif, it would go nicely with a compact goat's cheese.Crémant Brut Rosé: 15/20A bubbly Pinot Noir that is more mineral and tightly wound than decisive and winy. The delicately acidic framework, slightly bitter at the finish, recalls the aroma of cherry pits but retains its form. Refreshingly effervescent, the Crémant is quite airy with big bubbles; ideal for an apéritif.
Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2013
La Revue des Vins de FranceSomething so rare that it bears mentioning, the Crémants from the winery merit an investigation by wine lovers. Our preference is for the Brut, direct and fresh (Crémant Brut: 14/20). The 2010 rieslings are perfectly produced, with the suave and elegant Portrait range (Riesling Portrait 2010: 14.5/20). The Pfersigberg reveals a beautiful minerality combined with a good dose of terroir (Riesling Grand Cru Pfersigberg 2010: 16/20). The admirable Rangen leads them all, with its body and depth and beautiful richness, like a Grand Vin intended for cellaring. Also noted:Muscat Terroir 2010: 14.5/20Pinot Gris Terroir 2010: 14.5/20

GaultMillauRiesling Grand Cru Pfersigberg 2008: 16.5/20 - coup de coeurDelicate notes of lime, coarse salt, with just a touch of roasting. It explodes on the palate crisply and tautly, revealing and interesting terroir. Riesling Grand Cru Eichberg Vieille Vigne 2008: 15.5/20A wise approach to a Riesling with high minerality but, particularly, harvested at perfect maturity. The complex nose, leaving nothing to desire, provides a finish both long and pure.
Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins à moins de 20€ 2012
La Revue du Vin de FranceRiesling Portrait 2009: 15.5/20Built on a duo of citrus and volume, this is a wine with character, quite sunny, yet at the same time closed, without any heaviness or sweetness. It appears to be wholely precise, quite intense and accessible, and all of that punctuated by a light acidity in the mouth. A real success.
Le Guide Bettane & Dessauve des Vins de France 2012
Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rangen 2008: 15/20A ripe aroma, toasty and fruity with a touch of truffles, sweet in the mouth, a good density and with fine acidity and spicy character at the finish.
Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2012
Riesling Terroir 2009 noted with a one-star rating: a real successAmple, powerful, suave and round, this Riesling is built on an inborn acidity that gives crispness to the finish. A well-balanced wine taht in three years will have gained complexité.

La Revue des Vins de France
The range is quite frank and the wines have a lovely honesty, without the disgusting sweetness of many of the wines from the region. We appreciate the frankness and cleanness of the Muscat (Muscat Terroir 2009: 14.5/20). The Pinot Blanc is also nice, round and pleasant (Pinot Blanc Terroir 2009: 14.5/20). The series of Riesling Grands Crus has a strong character, with a fat Pfersigberg that is still taut (Riesling Grand Cru Pfersigberg 2009: 16/20) and an especially sumptuous Eichberg with a finish of fine citrus (Riesling Grand Cru Eichberg Vieille Vigne 2008: 17.5/20).Were also noted:Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Goldert 2009: 15.5/20Pinot Gris Terroir 2009: 14/20Riesling Portrait 2009: 14/20Riesling Terroir 2009: 14.5/20
