...the Zinck winery cultivates and vinifies all the varietals of the region with brio, but especially the Pinot Gris. This 2010 offers an aroma of stone fruit, white flowers and is slightly peppery with citrus note. In the mouth, the racy dryness combines with a nice fullness and a delicate touch of hyacinths.

Riesling Grand Cru Pfersigberg 2007 - The nicest definition of an Alsatian wine, well-balanced on notes of citrus and white flowers, with an interesting touch of minerality that goes well with the creaminess of the peas and nicely concentrated for the hints of vegetables. The finesse allows drinking right away, but it's made for cellaring.

Dry white wines - Selected by Bettane and Dessauve
Paul Zinck created the winery in 1964 and, by buying and leasing parcels, it has become one of the great independent producers in Alsace, with 30 hectares of vines. The vintage 2007 wines are clear and fresh. The wine: frank, with a nose of fresh citrus and white flowers, the taste well-balanced with good minerality.

4 stars (highly recommended) with a score of 16.6/20. Lean and tight. Big and powerful. Very perfumed with spicy notes, rather like a touch of Gewürztraminer, but it's still pure and characterful. Great élan and style.
